Asbestos Surveys
(Buildings, Equipment & Marine Vessels)

Under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulation 2016 the presence of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in a property must be identified. The most thorough means of identifying asbestos and ACM is to conduct a survey by a qualified asbestos surveyor.

Strada Consulting is accredited under ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 to undertake asbestos surveys for various situations to enable effective management of asbestos risks, or prior to refurbishment or demolition of your building, in order to locate all the asbestos before work commences.

Survey Categories

Our surveys can be used to locate and identify asbestos and ACM may be found in a property or in a marine vessel.

Survey Categories are:

Management surveys

This type of survey is recommended during normal occupation and use of the property to make sure that the existing asbestos and ACM is being managed.

Demolition surveys

This type of survey helps the PCBUs to locate all the asbestos in a property before demolition work commences. It is a disruptive and fully intrusive survey which may need to penetrate parts of the building structure and will only be conducted in unoccupied areas to eliminate or minimise risks to the public or tenants of the property.

Refurbishment surveys

This type of survey may be necessary when the building (or part of it) is going to be refurbished or demolished.
